Electrical Engineer Data Center Rotterdam Den Haag
You work on the power infrastructure the world's biggest tech companies run on. No homes, no offices, critical tech where every second counts.
UPS systems, battery banks, emergency power: the installations that keep servers from ever going down, even when the grid drops out. You get to places almost no one is allowed, one week Amsterdam, the next Frankfurt or Brussels. Physical, technical and precise, here a mistake is not an option.
No day is the same.
This is what a typical week looks like. No homes, no offices. Changing clients, locations and tech.
The clients change, the locations change, the tech changes.
You're with a colleague in a data center in Amsterdam. You replace 16 battery modules in a UPS system that Microsoft, Google or Amazon depend on.
Maintenance on three UPS units in a data center just outside Brussels.
Battery measurements at a site in Rotterdam.
Preparing the next project: checking materials and coordinating with the team.
