We drive our own trucks, scheduled inside the project and matched to the windows the site gives us. When lithium travels back after a battery replacement, it travels under ADR: the European regime for road transport of dangerous goods. Packaging, paperwork and vehicle all comply.
Moving in, the stretch from the loading dock into the hall, is the heavy part: a complete system into the building, through narrow aisles and airlocks, with care for floors and door frames. We set it in its final position and take the packing material back with us. Heavy loads are no problem: we bring the right handling equipment for the weight and the route. This is how twelve UPS systems went from the loading dock to their positions in the hall.
Transport with one party, installation with another: somewhere in between sits a moment where nobody is responsible. Not with us. The crew that loads and drives also moves in, places and mounts. That is how two 200 kVA systems, two battery cabinets and 92 battery blocks went into the working Amsterdam Centraal station on ten pallets, placed within fixed work windows.
